me and touch

To touch is to listen through the skin. To touch is to speak through the skin. To touch is to connect. To touch is to sense. To touch is to feel. The touch is the organic way to connect with the surrounding us world from the first moments of our life. Through touch we know the surfaces, the shapes, the distances, the temperature. Through touch we feel energy and vibrations.

We touch the droplets of air with our skin, when we stand, when we sleep. We touch the earth when we walk. The touch can be a caress, can be a hit, can be neutral or full of emotions. The touch of skin to skin, touch of palms, touch of chests, touch of lips, touch of hair. We can feel and touch with every surface of our body. We use touch in our everyday life, but in dance and bodywork practices touch becomes a way to connect deeper and with focused way of streming the vital energy.

I feel that the touch is extremely important for our bodies health, and harmony of our mind and soul. We need a touch at a daily basis, and we often lack its quality in a social life. We yearn for soft, safe, warm, present touch. A touch which is a path for energy exchange with the nature, and the people, path which brings us nourishment. Touch is such a plain, daily, and the same time intimate action, therefore done with awarness, is a powerfull tool to heal.

I use the touch in the dance, in the work with voice, and in the bodywork sessions. I give sessions of massage and bodywork, which I call „the touch of a feather”. I focus on feeling and soft presence with touch as a base for bodywork improvisations.
